The Little Museum of Dublin

Dublin's Best Museum

The award-winning Little Museum of Dublin tells the story of Dublin over the last century through memorabilia, photographs and artefacts - all genorously donated by the general public. The impressive collection of thousands of artefacts, spread over just a few rooms of the stunning Georgian townhouse, includes a lectern used by JFK on his 1963 visit to Ireland, a letter from Samuel Beckett to the boy who lived in his childhood home, art, pictures, postcards, and other memorabilia related to the city’s 20th century history. There are artifacts from famous Dubliners, like James Joyce’s death mask and a first edition of Ulysses.

The exhibition was made possible by fans of the band along with some of Ireland’s best photographers and artists, as a tribute to U2 and a celebration of their roots in Dublin's music scene.

A soundtrack narrated by Tom Dunne tells the story of the band with rare live recordings from the Dandelion Market all the way through to Croke Park. The exhibition is hugely popular with fans of Ireland’s most famous musical export.
